Soccer League

All Coaches must complete the Requirements detailed in both Section A and B in order to complete the registration process and receive a Coach Pass card for SJSL or SJGSL

 

 A.           COACH LICENSING / CERTIFICATION                

 

All coaches (both Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches) must be licensed and/or certified to receive a US Club Soccer Coach Pass to coach SJSL and SJGSL teams. You must complete either #1 or #2 below.

 

1.   Existing Coaches Holding Current Licenses

SJSL/SJGSL will accept coaches with the State F, E or D license, or any national license if the coach also completed the Rutgers course. However, you will still need to Register and upload your License at the following link:

2.   New Coaches League Certification

As a New Coach, you will need to attend a League Certification course, comprised of both classroom and field based components. There is NO COST for the July/August sessions but space is limited so sign up as soon as possible at the following link:

           Future sessions will cost $20.00.  The link below will take you to the September course

          **New course certificates are automatically uploaded to the leagues.

 

 

 B.           US CLUB COACH REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS                

 

In addition to holding a valid License / Certification, ALL SJSL and SJGSL coaches must complete the following steps in order to receive a Coach Pass.  Please check with your club for club specific instructions.  Full instructions for these steps can be found at usclubsoccer.org/registration/staff/

 

1.   SAFESPORT ONLINE TRAINING

a.    Please click here  to send an email and receive an auto-reply with the link, U.S. Soccer access code, and instructions to take the course.

 

2.   SIDELINE SPORTS DOC

a.    Go to following link:  usclubsoccer.sidelinesportsdoc.com/

b.      Cost is $5.00

 

 

3.   BACKGROUND SCREENING

NOTE: this step can only be completed AFTER you have completed #1 (SafeSport Online Training)

and #2 (Sideline Sports Doc)

 

a.      Go to the following link:  Background Screening Application

b.      Cost is $18.00

 

4.   SUBMIT STAFF PASSCARD REQUEST

a.    Go to the following link:  US Club Soccer’s registration platform

b.   You (or your club) will need to pay $25 for the Pass card, which is valid for 2 years
