Soccer League

To be USSF certified referees, candidates must complete the referee course or be re-certified each year.  Information can be found at www.njrefs.com.

All SJSL (Boys, on Sunday) games are assigned through the boys Sunday Arbiter system.  Every league has its own system of assigning games.  For other leagues, go to njrefs web site, registered referee tab and look for “league contacts.”  Even if you are in Arbiter for another league or another sport, you need to be added to the SJSL group.  You are considered an "independent contractor."

Once you have been put into the SJSL Arbiter group, you will be sent a "Welcome" message to join.  Go to the “Assignor Club Listing” tab, directly below this tab. Review the list and find the assignor(s) that is (are) associated with clubs nearest to where you live.  Contact the assignor(s) (in some areas there may be an overlap) by E-mail.  Disclose any and all potential conflicts as a player, coach or administrator. You will not be assigned matches in cases where there is a conflict.  Be prepared to give the assignors your:
